There are some love stories that unfold like a movie—where laughter, tears, and pure love blend seamlessly into a single, timeless reel. Delayna and Travis’s wedding at The Pavilion at Sandy Pines on August 29, 2025, was exactly that kind of story—one that reminded us why we fell in love with capturing weddings in the first place.

The morning began, of course, with champagne mimosas, and laughter spilling through the bridal suite. The air buzzed with excitement as the bridesmaids did final touch ups in theirs matching pj's while upstairs, the guys kept things cool and classic—playing cards, sipping on their flasks with all the best energy.

When Delayna slipped into her strapless gown and her mother carefully placed her gorgeous long veil, we all went still for just a moment. Delayna and her mom shared the sweetest relationship-- one that felt like they were best friends. Once her mom had her perfectly buttoned up and ready, Delayna shared a first look with her bridesmaids that was one for the books. There were happy tears, loud cheers, and all the love and hype every bride dreams of feeling before she walks down the aisle.

A First Look Full of Heart

Before the ceremony, Delayna and Travis shared a first look that perfectly captured their playful, yet heartfelt love. They settled the nerves with a quick game of rock-paper-scissors—a tradition that turned into something deeper. It echoed a story Travis would later tell in his vows, about the first time Delayna surprisingly beat him at mini golf and how he quickly learned that he wouldn’t always win—but wherever life took them--wins and losses, he wanted her by his side. Tears were shed, laughs were had and all the pre-wedding jitter disappeared.

All the Vibes, All the Love

Their bridal party was the definition of 'down for anything'—from spontaneous shots to umbrella props and everything in between. When we hopped on golf carts and headed to a nearby pond and waterfall, the sun poured golden light over them. It was cinematic perfection—the kind of light we dream about as wedding filmmakers and wish we never had to leave but the timeline continues!

Then came the ceremony. The aisle was graced with the most adorable triplets-- two flower girls and a ring bearer pulled down in a wagon—there wasn’t a single guest who wasn’t smiling.

A Celebration of Family and Forever

As the night rolled in, every corner of the reception reflected Delayna and Travis’s personalities:

a cigar bar, an ice cream truck, and the sweetest touch of all—homemade desserts baked by Delayna and Travis's moms! (we STILL talk about the chocolate chip cookies!!!)

Before the dance floor opened, Delayna shared a first dance with her mom, a moment that melted every heart in the room. As the song carried on, her two brothers joined in—a tribute to their father and brother’s memory. The room fell silent except for the sound of quiet sniffles and deep emotion. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

Golden Hour and Goodbyes

Before the night faded, we stole the newlyweds away for one final portrait session. The sunset glimmered across the golf course, reminding us of where their love began when playing mini golf. Those are the moments that remind us—this is why we do what we do.

As the music picked up, the dance floor filled with energy, props, and laughter. It was the perfect finale to a perfect day.
