Mikala and Kenny Woodruff said "I do" on May 30th, 2025, at the beautiful Community House in Winnetka, Illinois, a venue that felt like a city garden, and it was a day we'll never forget.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wedding would be something special. Their day was filled with genuine love, meaningful moments, and an undeniable presence of the Lord. You know the verse, *"Where two or more are gathered in His name, He is there"?* That couldn't have been more true. The atmosphere was sacred.
Choosing which audio to highlight in their wedding film was nearly impossible. Their first look was overflowing with raw emotion, and their vows, so intentional and heartfelt, left not a dry eye in the audience. It was the kind of love that reminds you what a wedding day is truly about.
Mikala's first look with her dad was another moment we'll always hold dear. Watching him tear up the instant he saw her in her dress, the way he spoke about her, the way he walked her down the aisle, was such a touching reflection of their beautiful bond.
And then there was the fun. Their bridal party was the absolute best, up for anything, supportive, and full of energy. We were blown away by how everyone took care of each other. The groomsmen made sure the girls had drinks during photos, and the bridesmaids were up for all of the groomsmen shenanigans. It was such a sweet display of community and how special it is when two worlds collide.
You could feel the love from both sides, Mikala and Kenny's families were so welcoming, and it was clear how deeply cherished they are, not only by their own families but by the new ones they were joining.
Dinner featured a crowd-pleasing favorite: wood-fired pizza from Wooden Paddle, and oh my gosh, was it good. And their choreographed first dance? Pure magic. The guests (and us) were totally caught off guard. It brought all the energy and joy you'd want to kick off the reception. The night ended with a bang, disco balls spinning, light-up glasses flashing, and flip flops on the dance floor as guests danced the night away.
More than anything, it was clear how much Mikala and Kenny truly love each other, and how deeply they prioritize their relationship with Christ. Their wedding was a reflection of that: a celebration of faith, love, and commitment.
Mikala and Kenny, thank you for letting us be a part of your day. We'll always remember it, and we're so excited for all that's ahead in your journey together.
With love,
