We met Elsa and Brian at an open house, totally by chance, and we instantly clicked. You know when you meet people and it just feels easy? That was them. We left that day already hoping we'd get to film their wedding, so when they officially booked us we were honestly so excited. One of the first things they told us was that they wanted a vintage documentary vibe for their film, and we were all about it.
The Ceremony
The day started at the beautiful Iglesia Bautista Emanuel church, where friends and family began to gather and the quiet pre-wedding jitters circled about. Elsa had what might be the most incredible veil we've ever seen, around twenty feet long. Paired with her crisp minimal white gown she looked absolutely unreal. Like truly one of those moments where everyone quietly gasps because she's just *that* beautiful.
We got to spend a couple quiet moments with her while she finished writing her vows, and we love those little pauses in a wedding day. It's like everything slows down for a second before the world speeds up. Meanwhile, Brian was greeting everyone as they arrived, hugging people, laughing, just completely grounded and ready to see his soon-to-be wife.
Their ceremony was traditional, romantic, and personal. They shared their declaration of love through personal vows. They also shared a unity sand ceremony, blending two colors together to represent two lives becoming one, such a simple but emotional moment.
The Barn at Silverstone Farm
After the ceremony, everyone headed to The Barn at Silverstone Farm, a gorgeous Indiana barn wedding venue surrounded by open fields. This was our first time filming there and we were completely blown away.
One thing that was super important to Elsa & Brian was having time for portraits, and we loved that they prioritized that. We had so much fun using her veil, moving around the property, and getting creative. Leonard got what might be one of our favorite drone shots ever: the two of them lying in the grass with Elsa's veil spread out around them. It looked straight out of a magazine.
They also got to spend a little time with their fur babies, who showed up in tiny wedding outfits.
As the night wrapped up, we had the perfect golden hour, soft light, wide open sky, and the kind of stillness that makes everything feel like a dream. It was the absolute perfect ending to their day.
Elsa & Brian, we adore you guys. Thank you for trusting us with something so meaningful. Your day felt like home: warm, intentional, calm, and full of love. You two are such a perfect match, and we're so grateful we got to be there to witness it and document it.
With love,
